Hammer & Axe, Bourbon Barrel Aged Red Blend

Tools of the trade. Back when making something by hand was a real accomplishment, the barrel cooper was one of the most skilled craftsmen of the day. We bring that same mindset of craftsmanship in making Hammer and Axe Red Blend. Hammer and Axe takes advantage of the barrel cooper’s tradition by aging our blend of Cabernet, Zinfandel and Syrah in Kentucky Bourbon Barrels for three months, adding layers of complexity to our already delicious blend. Kentucky heritage, California wine making and the spirit of craftsmanship create a well-balanced, full-flavored wine.

Profile

Hammer & Axe Bourbon Barrel-aged Red Blend has flavors of rich, dark blackberry and cherry with notes of toasted vanilla and caramel, ending with delicious coffee and toasted spice. Full bodied and well balanced with generous tannins.

Pair

Delicious with anything grilled or smoked – steaks, sausages and ribs. A wonderful pairing with pasta smothered in a hearty meat sauce. Hammer & Axe Red Blend also blends beautifully with cured meats and smoked cheeses.

Shipping

Depending on demand, it typically takes us 1-2 days to process your order and have your wine sampler pack ready to ship to your doorstep. Once the box leaves our warehouse, the box should arrive at your home within 5–10 business days for U.S. locations.

Both the person placing the order and the person receiving the order must be 21+ years of age and be able to show ID upon delivery. We strongly suggest that you have the wine delivered to a place of business or to your nearest FedEx pick-up location to prevent the risk of multiple delivery attempts.
